Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and [Legal entity name] (“Polarix”, “we”) when you use this site. By creating an account you accept them.

This is not financial advice

This is the most important thing on the page. Polarix is an information tool. It shows you what your own holdings have done and what public sources say about companies. It does not know your circumstances, your goals or your tax position, and nothing in it is a personal recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.

We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and we do not provide regulated financial advice. If you want advice, speak to someone authorised to give it. The value of investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you put in. Past performance tells you nothing reliable about the future.

The numbers, and where they come from

Prices and company information come from public third-party sources. They can be delayed, incomplete or simply wrong, and we do not warrant their accuracy.

Figures we calculate (returns, cost basis, dividends, projections) are derived from the transactions you give us. If an import is incomplete or a row is wrong, everything built on it will be wrong too, and the app cannot always tell. Where a figure rests on something you supplied rather than something your broker reported, it is labelled as such. Check anything that matters against your broker’s own statement.

Projections are arithmetic applied to assumptions you choose. They are not forecasts, and nothing about them makes an outcome more likely.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over.
• Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

What you may not do

• Post anything unlawful, abusive, or that impersonates somebody else.
• Use the Social area to promote investments, solicit money, or give advice you are not authorised to give.
• Upload another person’s financial records without their permission.
• Scrape the site, attack it, or try to reach data that is not yours.
• Resell or redistribute market data obtained through Polarix.

Anything you post is yours, and you keep it. You give us permission to display it to other users of Polarix so the feature can work. We can remove content that breaks these rules.

Availability

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features. If we discontinue Polarix we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for investment losses, for decisions you make using this site, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Closing it deletes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Polarix afterwards means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of protections you have under the law of where you live.
